1. Is the side terminal needed withe the Pertronix? How is it wired?
2. Why don't you like the Pertronix units? At the urging of a pal I installed a 6v pos ground unit in my 1939 Cadillac and was very happy with the results. I know that is not a great deal of experience but it was a good one and among the few folks I know in the hot rod world they ALL like these units. I had thought I was getting away from the constant issues with points & condensers.
