The Corvette 235 was a very special Blue Flame Six.
GM/Chevrolet called all 1954 and later car 235 engines (with various horsepowers), Blue Flame Six.
The Blue Flame Six color was only used on 1953 and later high oil-pressure car 235 engines.

The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" --
this is a splash oiler.
