Thanks Tim, it is a 3 wire Remy 42 amp alternator. The separate harness has three wires, two from a plastic clip, one large Red one that seems to go on the stud sticking out of the back of the alter. to a battery connection someplace. I have read generic instructions saying that one of the two wires in the plastic clip goes to a GEN or IGN light then to the switch. The other goes directly to switched power. This 1951 truck has no lights like that. Do I need to add one to make this work?
