A 50/50 mix freezes at -37 degrees F. If it ever gets that cold in Tennessee, I'm moving to Taihiti! Rather than paying antifreeze prices for water, I buy the concentrated stuff and mix my own 50/50 coolant, using an empty 1 gallon container and pouring it half full, then topping both off with water. Be sure to drain the block as well as the radiator to get all the water out before refilling with the coolant mix.
