Good evening

I'm using a Dual Fenton Intake with dual Carter 2 Barrel Prog. Carbs.from Langdon's.
Trying to get my head wrapped around the route and installation of the Throttle down rod( thru the intake and headers) but the return tension on both Carbs is rather intense.
I've read somewhere that Tom has suggested in removing one of the return springs from one of the carbs.

I'm just trying to figure out which spring is the major return spring; #59, #39 or #36 on the above diagram!
