Some people have a limited sense of humor or take responses too seriously.
If you really think it is a hazard to the environment by all means recycle it but if not you can always spread it on the ice on the sidewalk or driveway. I really doubt the paint from these old rigs will have a detrimental impact on the ground water in the concentrations we are envolved with.
