I found an article on the web about a 1929 chevy fire truck that is being restored.
Same rear wheels.
I suspect that the flange that you are talking about "EdPruss" is the plate behind the lug nuts.
It doesn't seem to be removable.
In the pictures I have included. The firetruck wheel seems to come off without removing that piece.
It says something in the article about the drum or hub having a slight taper on it so it sucks up tightly.
Seems like it would just pop right off if it is tapered.
I'm trying to contact the person that is doing this restoration to get suggestions from them.
Anyone else have any suggestions after looking at these pictures, I would appreciate.Thanks
