The most of them now days are equipted with a gun that they pass over the piece and it feeds info into a computer that tells the Saleperson what colors to mix for your need. I have been doing color matching for over 30 years and these things are Quick and very very accurate. They are great for faded out colors or ones that for some unkown reason did not come out the right color.
