I like 35 trucker's idea of Big Boy's Tools. Why use a wimpy die grinder when you can fire up the plasma arc? You could probably justify part of the cost by telling the wife that it would be great for the 4th of July and New Years Eve parties.
Actually, unless you are cutting stainless the die grinder will work just fine. Just remember eye protection because the disc do have a habit of going their own way at times.
