ted ,i agree with you i like the distressed look also.the article beltfed was referring to was a 32 ford pup owned by josh shaw from batavia ,oh. they own a sign co. called shaw signs. ive seen alot of their work at local shows .they do good work.i think the jist of it was ,they painted a base coat of black(implement paint would do) for protection then brushed on thinned out one shot and had at it with the sandpaper.they did though do some airbrush work to add some extra detail to areas around the keyholes doorhandles and things like that.its just up to your own imagination as to what you want.i dont think anybody is trying to "trick" anybody into believing anything its just a matter of personal preference.i like the "patinaed or distressed" look and Quite honestly am getting tired of lookin at all the easter egg pastels and billet everything. but then again its what they want to build.i want to keep mine simple.john deere blitz black with just a little pinstriping and a set of steelies.cause this is what i like . i'm not buildin to impress just to enjoy. lets face it these ol trucks are going to get attention no matter what they look like.bottom line. ted there are so many ways to acheive the look your wantin to do . whatever you can afford to do or way you want to do it have at it and have fun.thats what its all about..............dave
