I have a refinishing business on the side and I agree with the above posts. It sounds like you don't have the experience to run a "pot" type blaster which by-the way requires very little air in reference to syphon type. It is not sandblasting but media blasting in your case as sand in inexperience hands can cause more problems than it cures. That "media" can get somewhat expensive so I would go with the disks as you sound like you've got the time and it's a labor of love.
