I may be too late, but one thing that I have noticed that I feel people are doing wrong when repainting the inside, is that they don't tone down the gloss of the paint. I have a paint sheet from I believe PPG, and it mentions that the interior paint is at 30% gloss, and the dash board is at 10% gloss. Our 66 suburban has the original interior paint and colors on it, and the dash is definitely almost a flat color. Even if you look at the inside of the glove box door, you will see that it is lacking of any gloss. I believe this is because you will get reflection on your windshield if it is glossy.
I have seen locals that have repainted the inside the original color, but have not deglossed it(if that's a word), and it just looks wrong.
