The nuts were just rectangular blocks drilled and tapped to suit. The cages were larger blocks with a slot machined to hold the block and allow it to slide back and forth 1/2". A clearance slot for the excess bolt length went all the way through. I just drilled a 1/8" hole on each side of my missing nuts and welded the cage on through the hole. Hope it helps.
They named it Apache cause it has a patchy welded here and a patchy welded there.
