Well, red loctite it is!
Out of curiosity, I contacted Federal Mogul and spoke with a technical support person. Their specific recommendation was
Loctite 609. As you can see, it's for cylindrical bonding.
Permatex also has a comparable product,
Permatex 60950.
Unfortunately, these products are not on the shelf at your FLAPS. So if red loctite has been working for you guys, it will work for me. I even have some out in the garage......
