Personal buying and selling has short-use/interest/value. And, it is really a one-to-one discussion. The posts in the non-Swap-Meet forums will stay here forever. Thus, a week from now (or, ten years from now) a personal transaction is just junk.
Moderators are supposed to remove personal (one person to one person) buy/sell/offers from the general forums. No harm done - and, it is good/OK to ask why.
