tclederman Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Jarvisburg, NC, USA	If the transmission is an open driveshaft SM420 4-speed, a 54 or earlier SM420 rear cover and ujoint assembly for an enclosed driveshaft can convert the later SM420 to work with an enclosed driveshaft. Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
