Too much and/or poorly mixed hardner will also result in paint bleed thru from the peroxide (main ingredient of hardner) especially the lighter color coats. Poor mixing can also result in pinholes. To make the filler set up faster just raise the ambient air temperature and if the panel you're filling is cold pre-heat to 75-80 degrees F. with a hair dryer or heat lamp.
