I tried less expensive Chinese tires on the '48 2 ton. Around $300-325 each. The drive tires were barely usable, a couple took tons of balance weights.
The steering tires were totally useless. After 2 balances it was like driving on egg shaped wheels. Double Coin and Double Star I think.
I returned them and went with the higher quality Sumitomo closer to $500, but less than the Bridgestones closer to $600. Of course that includes all the USA State and federal taxes.
You get what you pay for, and there is nothing worse than a cheap Chinese tire.
