Hey I had a 66 with the exact same things I should have kept them cause now I can't find them anywhere either.I do believe they were ment to be used as a step,but in this case the owner probably wrote this in to discourage people from climbing all over his fine machine.As far as Ican remeber they worked great with no support,but Im not sure if there was support or not.Regardless they are cool and Iwant them for my 63 napco,please let me know were or how to find these rare pieces thanks!
