Hi,

when checking the number on the bulb also have a look at the glass part of the bulb. I have one in my garage, that is still working, but the glass cylinder (halogen type bulb) is all black from the inside. You can see the filament glow, but all power of the light is lost at the inside. Changing bulbs made a lot of difference.
