Matt, you are opening up a huge can of worms. To make a V8 work with a torque tube rear end would require a very talented machinist and perhaps several sticks of dynamite. The only way to properly do a V8 swap is front clip, motor, transmission, driveshaft and new rear end. Lots of work but doable without the Machinist or the dynamite. Good luck. eeeek
