| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 76 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 76 | My 1966 stepside is still at the body shop. On the driver's side, there is a bracket that the spare tire bolts to. One arm of the bracket goes through a hole in the fender. In that hole, when I dismantled the truck was a rubber grommet. The hole is 1 7/8 inches and the old grommet measures 2 inches on the outside. I've looked at all the usual parts distributors and have found nothing. Additionally, I contacted the folks at Steele and they couldn’t help either. Ideas? Thanks - | | |
