I have read about this type of mod for the front cab mounts and was about to do it a while back.
I decided not to when I started to think about how the rear cab mount shackles work in unison with the original small front cab mount rubber to prevent cab flexing/metal fatigue/sheet metal tearing caused by extreme frame flexing on uneven roads.
I was thinking that using the large rubber pads on the front would prevent all movement in the front of the cab which would put undue stress on the cab when frame flex caused the rear shackles to articulate.
BTW, to clarify, I am not a mechanical engineer, nor do I ever stay at the Holiday Inn.
