Here is something that you can do when replacing your cab to the frame.
NOTE i have left tips about doing the same to the BED of your truck . . . . see /read Carolines truck in tips area

i bought scrap hard rubber from sacramento rubber co. and came up with this thought when I restored the 51 ... 3104 we own.

it utilizes a rubber strip about 14-16'' long by 2-3'' wide. sorry i never took a photo when i did mine so I made this drawing

you'll need a pop rivet at the interior end but the cab bolt will hold the strip @ the far end. it allows a LARGER PAD to cushion the cab against the frame. since mine was scrap it's 2'' wide. about $3.00 for what i bought. which was enough to do my cab and 6 locations x2 under and on top of the oak blocks i made for the BED CUSHION.
