Glad you found it. Hind sight being what it is the better approach maybe would have been to use a screwdriver in the pump slot and measure to the deck of the block. Then mark that distance on the distributor body to see if it is going in far enough. Anyway maybe these posts will help the next stove bolter who has a similar problem!
