Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 73 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 73 | working on a 62 chev 1/2 ton P/U for a friend. someone did a very nic job fixing it up for him.but when they did the added a thick padding and upholstery on the door panel and it has been impossible to keep the cranks from working loose and falling off.does anyone know a trick to fix this? I am considering trying to drill the shft end on center and add a countersunk screw through the crank and into the shaft. otherwise outside of finding a donor regulator and cutting an extended piece and welding it onto the existing shaft I can't come up with anything. BTW my old 61 GMC is still plugging along. I don't drive it a lot and it's 305 V-6 leaks some oil but it holds together -
