I seem to be missing something from the rear center mount for my hood. I have the “U” shaped hold down that is bolted on top of the cowl, but there doesn’t seem to be a mating piece in the center of the hood at the hinge. At the front it looks like there is some sort of a stub rod or maybe the hinge pin itself that protrudes into the front bull nose/ support bracket.

Is there a hinge pin / rod that extends the full length of the hinge and maybe extends out both ends ?? If so mine could be broken and too short.

Are there two shorter pins that fit into either end. If so I can probably copy the front one to make a new rear one.

Best question …….Anyone have a really cleaver way of lifting the hood by your self ??
