I already tossed the empty can so I am not sure,,but I doubt it is alkyd-but it holds up well, held up to the brake fluid I lost while bleeding the system-it is made for tractors. I know it can be reduced & sprayed thru a gun, but I brushed it on. I did my frame w/it
