I have a fresh air heater in my '49 1/2 ton. I put in a rebuilt valve on the firewall, but it always blows hot no matter which way I turn it. Did I do something wrong? I installed the valve according to the assembly manual. Thanks for any help.
Ranco Valve? If so, I don't think that they shut off all of the flow to the heater.
You may want to add a cutoff valve at the water pump for warm weather driving.
