The crucial part of the placement of the power steering box is where/how it will locate the drag link. The drag link needs to be level with the road and run front to back when the wheels are in the straight ahead position. Failure to do this will lead to bump steer. Bump steer is bad, mmmkay?
So even if you find someone's measurements or pictures, make sure you check the position of the drag link.
