But, if the 55.1 GMC long-bed driveshaft was the the same as a 55st Chevrolet 3600 (same bed length), it had a fully open driveshaft (as the Chevrolet 3600 had for the first time in 1954). Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
