I am cheap, I would re-use it if its in good shape-I have never heard of old glass being brittle,, I got some Mason jars made before the War of Northern Aggression-ran'em thru the dishwasher to clean them up, came out just fine. I ahve also installed used windshields(showing some small bubbles mostly under the weatherstrip) w/success. newer glass is prolly a little thinner, also glass is pretty easy to replace if it looks too bad or you get more funds,,my 2 cents,,you are prolly talking a grand to replace all the glass in a burb,,brian
