Hi, I'm trying to get my motor running !!! Thats a PUN. Actually, I am tryin, but having no luck. When I got this '55 GMC 250 last year, it needesd a little work. Thats another PUN, cause it needed alota work but thats why I got it. ANYHOW, it had a late model electronic dist stuck in the hole but nothing was hooked up. The original was in the cab so I took it apart, cleaned it and put it back where it belongs. Got new points/cond/rotor/cap/wires from NAPA but somethings wrong?? The cap wont fit right. Seems the rotor is too tall? and the cap doesnt fit the housing right ???I took it back to NAPA but it IS the right one?? I'm wonderin, is there supposed to be a cup type points cover that goes under the rotor?? I'm hoping so as that would explain things. Gettin kinda frustrated cause the head is now done, carbs rebuilt, everythings buttoned back up but I cant start it till I get this figured out. Any ideas ??????? Thanx in advance
