| | | | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 4,095 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 4,095 | I went on the Fort Ticonderoga Ferry years ago and if remember correctly it only held 2 cars. The other car happened to be a Corvette owned by an Airforce person from Grissom AFB in Peru Indiana about 35 miles from. I tried to find pictures of the old one I think it only held 2 cars and had a side cabin. The new one holds 8, and is propelled by a tug and held in place by a cable that drops to the lake bed as it crosses.
