Interesting. There was no trace of them on 3 previous sets of doors I had And the panel was pretty much intact on 1 set.
No matter, the 48 2 ton interior was all leather. Those panels would have been too thick to fit in them. Will probably do this one as well.
Rolled the leather around the edges for the finished look.
