They exist, and they are very much needed to keep the set screws from backing out. I recently bought aftermarket handles and they don't have the same screws (just one) and don't stay on when you slam the doors. I am going to buy some Allen head set screws (easier to put more torque on them) and grind points on them similar to the original set screws, then add another Allen set screw to lock it in place.
For the record, I did not hi-jack this thread. Mark did, and HE should be admonished.
