I live in Prescott but would take the truck to phoenic or tucson if needed. I have checked here local and the prices are crazy 15-18 grand for a paint job. I asked about painting a harley tank 1 color black and got a price of 800 for a tank!!! My 62 is in very good shape no rust, it does have some dings but 15-18 ??? ( not to mention that is with me pulling engine, gutting the cab, pulling all trim, removing wood from box.
I am not looking for custom items. Solid color with the stake holes welded, welded fuel hole and that is about it, a few holes in the door from the mirrors.
I have had 3 shops no all tell me how straight the truck is and how rust free( they are amazed) but the least was 15 and the highest was 18.
But after talking with a few local that have rods they just said that no place close that is in the normal price range.
I am looking for a shop that some has used them selves with great results. If any one knows of one let me know.
