Finally got around to investigating if the engine and head numbers match or even if I could find some information on them.
This is a Canadian built model 1434, Ser # 0143416066
Engine casting code X384619 matches the id plate on the door post.
Block # 3835327
The head casting located between number 1 and 2 valve springs under the cover shows 3835517 with GM above it and 2 below.( the head number is the only one I could confirm)
Checked on every site and link on here and then some and can find no definitive confirmation that this is a numbers matching engine.
Is it possible because it was never originally registered that it just disappeared from any database?
First drive after 3 years should be within a couple of weeks.
I'm also having it appraised later this month and would like to have something to show the fellow doing it!
