Think we found it. I think I worded poorly. The "rest of the line is steel" is not new. Found it to be just barely damp over a 3" portion. Not wet, not leaking. We missed it in the poor light I guess.
BC2, 2-ton, I will keep the filter issue in mind once replacement steel line is in place. I put that filter in to catch any crap from the original fuel tank before it got to pump and filled it with crud.
MikeE that is definitively the problem! The carb doesn't like carb ination!
