I'm thinking of drilling out the rivets that hold the rear fender center brace in place and plug welding the brace to the fender. Has anyone ever done this successfully?
It seems that leaving the rivets could help promote rust, and based on what I have been going through with rust removal I don't want to create more problems down the road. Would welds hold up in this application?
