greetings, has anyone been able to free-up a windshield crank mechanism ? my gears don't appear to be stripped, rather stuck from sitting and possibly the steel shaft reacting to the aluminum housing. the bottom has a metal wedge thats pinned to the housing, and extends into the worm gear. if i drill out this pin and remove the wedge, will this free up the crank ?, or should this be sent in to rebuild ? thanks..

Just because you have a few Craftsman tools, it dosen't mean your a craftsman.
