I was thinking about the Cummins ISF3.8, but even the ISF 2.8 has higher outputs than the original 96hp and 200 ftlb (both gross)
That repower kit is interesting, 160hp/267lbft.
Coupled to a multi speed automatic and the original 2 speed rear if you really have to pull out of a hole.
