This is for my '48 1Ton. The Huck brake setup front and rear is identical to the ones on my '48 Chevy 1Ton. That's good because the GMC manual doesn't even show what I've got!

The Chevy manual says to tighten the shoes until they just begin to rub the inside of the drum, then back off the adjustment a set number of cliks or flats of the adjusting bolt. Is this correct? On other vehicles I've always tightened the shoes until the drum won't turn, then backed off the adjustment.

Do the Huck brakes need more clearance than a conventional set up?
