I have read every post on updating tie rods and have learned a lot. I have a 3/4 ton and it has tie rod ball studs with a taper. This means that all updated tie rod ends will not fit in the tapered holes of the steering knuckles. (they fit the 1/2 tons) The 1/2 ton steering knuckles have the untapered holes when the ball studs are removed, but not sure if they are a direct bolt on to the 3/4 ton without changing steering geometry. Does anyone know this information.
At the moment I am scrambling as I disassembled with the thought that the new parts would fit my 3/4 ton. Please help.
