I'm still trying to figure out if the bed on my 5? is actualy from a 54. After looking at some pictures of my bed side's and pictures of other "Known" 54's there is some difference's . The flat top on mine does not end in a roll . It is squared off. This make's me think that the side piece's are hand made by the previous owner. I'm trying to determine if the bed is a hand made 53(using the 53 height specs) made with a a flat top . Or if it is a true 54 using the 54 height specs.

Can someone measure the top of the bedside to the bottom (bed floor) by measureing on the inside of the bed. I need both a 53 and a 54 measuement.

I will try to figure out how to post a picture so you folks can see what I'm talking about.
