Norcal Dave,

Where in Nor Cal are you? There is a great brake supply company in Santa Rosa. It's 2 brothers who inherited their dad's business.

No matter if I go in looking for restoration brake parts, street rod brake parts, daily driver brake parts or even a replacement axle and brakes for my travel trailer they either have or get what I need.

Regarding your unboosted disc question, my '32 Ford roadster street rod has that setup using GM "metric" calipers and Aspen/Volare rotors mounted on a Ford beam axle. Braking was lousy with the "organic" friction that is out there now. The local brake guys got me some asbestos pads and shoes and it was like adding a booster, no exaggeration. The pedal effort is kind of high with no booster but I don't mind that.
