Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 331 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 331 | I recently acquired a '58 261 that I removed from a '58 C60 Viking. The engine was original to the truck and it has a factory PCV system on it. On the passenger's side of the block where the draft tube normally is, there is a stand pipe with no draft tube on it that has a npt fitting in it with 90 screwed into it and then a metal PCV valve screwed into that. From there it's hard-piped across the valve cover to a fitting on the intake below the carburetor. I have no doubts that its a factory setup, I've just never seen anything like it before on any engine this old. Is this a rare piece or was it common on 261's of this vintage?
1950 4100 - unrestored and driven weekly for almost no reason at all.
