Could be wrong but I don't believe either of those devices had a fuse in 1946. So if I am correct, there is no right answer. So, what is one to do? Do you have an amp meter? You could put it in line with the devices temporarily to measure the current and go from there. On the heater an ohmeter would work, but the radio will require the amp meter.
On the other hand, a fuse is used to protect the wire downstream from it. So if you know the gauge of the wires going to the devices you could use that as a guide.
