It's obvious that someone who owned the 67 before me had been doing some sanding on the body, I assume to prepare it for paint.

There are a few places that show a bit of bare metal.

It's really been raining a lot here lately, and I'm concerned about rust issues.

What's the best thing that "I", as a complete idiot, can do for the moment. It'll be a while before I can afford to get the truck painted. I'd just like to get a jump on this.

Also, although it has very little rust at all, what can "I" possibly be doing in the meantime to work on this part of it. Or should "I" just leave it alone?
