| | | | Joined: May 2016 Posts: 268 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2016 Posts: 268 | Hello,new guy here. I have a 49 gm 228 that I'm starting to disassemble. I'm planning on drilling and tapping crank snout for a hold down bolt which it never had originally.Ive read the threads about the actual drill and tap and im good with that. My question is,when I go to reassemble do i need to cut off the hand crank ears or whatever there called on the front of damper and grind so the bolt and washer fit flush to front of balancer? Thanks in advance. I've learned a ton already by searching this site.
